Got this Smarnoo S5 with GPS from GearBest for review.
Official product page: HongXinGaoKe
I found the manufacturer who makes the S5 but the S5 is not listed in their product line but others Smarnoo dashcams is listed like the S1, S2 and S3 under a different name.

Which one out of the Smarnoo S5 and Viofo A119 do you think is better and why?
Also does the Smarnoo GPS version, show you the speed you are travelling at on recordings?

This a tough as both are equally good in terms of specs. Both are great in 1440p.
I would say A119 as Viofo provides good support with firmware releases. And I like GPS mount more on the A119 than the GPS module on the S5.
The speed is only shown on the screen and also when viewing on a dashcam viewer on a computer.
